Crystalbrook Sam, Adelaide

Crystalbrook Sam is a five-star hotel on leafy Halifax Street, a stroll from Adelaide Central Market, in a city that has spent centuries getting food and wine right. Crystalbrook Collection’s first South Australian hotel is shaped by what Adelaide does best: considered design, generous dining and a festival calendar that brings its streets, theatres and parklands to life.

Across 196 rooms and suites, interiors make settling in easy. In the rooftop restaurant, South Australian produce meets fire-led cooking, with the CBD and Adelaide Hills beyond the table. At street level, the café and lobby bar bring Halifax Street’s neighbourhood character inside. A striking collection of sculptural art unfolds throughout, while a tucked-away library nook is made for one chapter, then another.

Eléme Day Spa, a heated outdoor pool that catches the afternoon light, a sauna and gym make it easy to move between treatment, movement and rest. In the meeting and event spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows bring daylight across the room, while an outdoor terrace gives coffee breaks and conversations room to stretch out. Boardroom sessions, long lunches and celebrations for more than 100 guests are on the table, with South Australian menus at the centre.

Step outside and the Central Market, Victoria Square and Adelaide’s festival precincts are close at hand. Taste the first ripe peach of the season, catch a show, then take the free city tram to North Terrace, Festival Plaza and the East End. From the southern CBD, Glenelg, Brighton and Adelaide’s coast are within easy reach.
