Kellia, Peloponnese

This hotel is located in Monemvasia Castle (South-East Peloponnese), formerly a 16th Century monastery made of timber and stone and considered to be the best stone building in the region. It is now run as a guest house and offers its visitors a delicious breakfast and an on-site bar/café. The premises are just 300 metres from the sea, the beach itself being 5-minute walk. Nearby attractions worth visiting include the Medieval Fortress, Agia Sofia Church and other Byzantine sites. Kalamata International Airport is the closest (70 km) and shuttle service can be laid on. The 24-hour reception staff will be happy to give guests advice about this and car hire. The 12 air-conditioned hotel rooms have balconies with views of the castle and the Mediterranean Sea. They are very well equipped and have their own private bathrooms as well as flat-screen televisions, and other mod-cons.
